Professor Hacker’s Dinosaur Adventure Golf

Professor Hacker’s Dinosaur Adventure Golf

Professor Hacker’s Dinosaur Adventure Golf’s story adventure is based on the noted explorer, archaeologist, anthropologist, paleontologist, and part-time taxidermist from the University of Chicago, Professor Duffer A. Hacker, also had a love for hot air balloons. During a recreational flight with a friend in 1930, the two found themselves caught in a storm that blew them miles off course. The voyagers finally crash-landed in a canyon which they soon discovered was inhabited by creatures thought to be extinct….DINOSAURS! Professor Hacker immediately discovered the coordinates of his location and sent for his ship, the R.S. Jurassic Explorer. While waiting for his ship, the professor decided to explore the area. When he came back to the area where the ship was supposed to be, he discovered that the ship had been beached on some rocks. Follow Professor Hacker and putt your way through the jungle and around waterfalls as he explores a land thought to be lost. We hope you enjoy this North Myrtle Beach mini golf course!

Licensing Requirements

There are licensing requirements for all businesses providing services or goods. If you are a Professional Wedding Planner and are working within the city limits, you must have a current City of North Myrtle Beach business license. This holds true even if your business is located out of town. All licenses must be available upon request by a city official. Any person or company you hire to provide services or goods must also possess a valid city license. This includes, but is not limited to:

Rental Services

Videographers, etc.

If you are managing your own wedding and are hiring any business or individual to provide professional services, they must possess a valid city business license. Please contact our Business License Division at 843-280-5585 to enquire about valid licenses or for a list of currently licensed providers. Please remember that you are responsible for ensuring that all regulations and ordinances are followed.

Ministers who are not being paid for their services, e.g., ministers from your home town, are not required to possess a city license to marry you.

Wedding Location

You may not reserve a place on the beach for your wedding. If you go to a certain location on the beach to hold your wedding, and you discover that another wedding group is already there, you can either move your wedding to another location or wait for your turn. Hundreds of beach weddings are held in North Myrtle Beach each year and we encourage you to be prepared, flexible and patient.

Remember: No individual, provider, or company can monopolize any set location. Although more weddings may be scheduled, the beach cannot be reserved. It is always available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

You may not insist on beachgoers moving from where they are when you arrive for your beach wedding. If you want to hold your wedding ceremony in a certain location and someone is already enjoying the beach at that location, you may ask them to consider a temporary move while you hold your ceremony, but they are not required to grant your request.

Your wedding must be held at least 25 feet from any public beach access. Beach walkovers and beach access points are for all to enjoy; please don’t hold your wedding ceremony on a beach access walkover or block the beach in front of a walkover. You must also leave room for emergency and beach patrol vehicles to pass on the dune side of your set-up.

Absolutely do not locate near sea turtle nesting areas. Any disturbance could jeopardize the future use of the beach as a wedding site.

Be aware that Cherry Grove Oceanfront Park (at Towers on the Grove) is a city park, not a private park. While it is a popular wedding location, it is also a public space. You may ask people to consider making a temporary move from the park while your wedding ceremony occurs, but they do not have to move, and other people have the right to walk through or settle in the park during your wedding ceremony. Remember, the passage through the beach walkover must be kept open at all times.

Pawley’s Island Hammock Shop

Pawley’s Island Hammock Shop

Since those now-distant days of Cap'n Josh, Pawley’s Island Hammock Shop continually improved upon their core materials and, where it's made sense to, expanded their line of products.

In addition to their classic cotton-rope Original, they now also offer rope hammocks in all-weather, cottony-soft DuraCord and soft-spun white polyester, as well as a selection of richly designed fabric hammocks, hammock-inspired swings, hammock stands, swing stands and key relaxation accessories.

For years you could only find the Original Pawleys Island Rope Hammock in the cozy little Original Hammock Shop in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Many of their rope-hammock bodies are still woven right there, in much the same manner as back in Cap'n Josh's time.

Yet today, the Pawleys Island brand – the most-recognized hammock brand ever – is also carried by numerous top-line retailers worldwide, distributed from their company headquarters in Greenville, North Carolina.

Litchfield Country Club

Litchfield Country Club

Litchfield Country Club is one of the original eight courses built on the Grand Strand. Over the years, the course has evolved, and changes have been made but for the most part, Litchfield Country Club has maintained many of its original features, including player-friendly green complexes.

For obvious reasons associated with the lack of length, the course has been highly regarded by women and seniors. However, a country club environment without the country club price has made it attractive to everyone.

Willard Byrd’s original design, one applicable to the well-rounded, won’t beat up most players. It also isn’t crafted toward the big hitters, measuring at less than 6,700 yards from the back tees.

Litchfield's natural Lowcountry beauty has attracted golfers from around the globe. Set amongst towering oak and pine trees, the course is regarded by many as a shot-maker's course, with several doglegs that require well-placed tee shots in order to have the best angle into some well-protected greens.

Clark’s Seafood & Chop House

Clark’s Seafood & Chop House

Offering steaks and seafood, enjoy your evening out watching the sunset over Coquina Harbor at Clark's Seafood & Chop House. This by far is one of our favorite places to dine in the NMB area. It is just a few minutes north of NMB in Little River. Look for the big sign on the right after you go across the big bridge. If you get to McDonalds, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back. It is worth it!

We love the filet and ribeye steaks at Clark's. Their house salad is always good. If you like scallops, you should try them bacon wrapped. Its one of their signature appetizers.

Clark's would definitely be on our list of fine dining establishments in the Grand Strand. When you come to the beach and want something special, try Clark's Seafood & Chop House.

Valley at Eastport Golf Club

Valley at Eastport Golf Club

Eastport Golf Club guarantees to provide its golfers with a challenging and delightful experience regardless of personal skill levels or the time of year a tee time was booked.

Located along the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway off Highway 17 between North Myrtle Beach and Little River, SC, The Valley at Eastport is a perfect first stop on any Grand Strand golf getaway. They offer their guests a warm and friendly atmosphere and a memorable round of golf.

Eastport Golf Club first began offering tee times in 1988 and was designed by Dennis Griffiths, a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. The course design is not a typical beach layout but a finesse course. The lush tree-lined fairways and cleverly contoured mini-Verde Bermuda greens will test any level of golfer. Each hole presents a new look and demands skillful shot-making around the meticulously manicured greens.
