There are several options to eat in Cherry Grove at the end of Sea Mountain Highway.  When you get to the light, look to the right and you will Murphy’s. When it first opened, the locals and staff were calling it MOTO’s, which was short for Murphy’s on the Ocean. The former place of business for many years was called HOTO’s. HOTO’s is now located in Ocean Drive.

Murphy’s is now going by the name “Murphy’s Bar & Grill”. You may see it listed on social media as  “Murphy’s on the Beach”.

They feature live music most days. Check them out for Happy Hour and Food Specials. If you ride by, they have a big blackboard on the side of the building with daily specials. The location is great with a great view of the ocean in Cherry Grove. During parts of the year, you may find it is a big draw to bikers. Murphy’s does have its fair share of parking compared to other places in the area. There are shared lots and paid lots close by.

It is one of the places that is open year round, so give it a try the next time you are in North Myrtle Beach.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series let you enjoy an evening with your family and friends listening to live music at the amphitheater at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Each concert will feature a different band playing family-friendly music. Bring a beach chair or blanket. For your convenience, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. AN EVENT OF THE CONWAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

OPENING CEREMONIES – Beginning at 11AM a special opening ceremony will take place on the Palmetto Chevrolet Marina Family Stage. Join in the singing of the National Anthem, color guard presentation of the flag as we pay homage to our great nation and all those who serve her.

GOLF CART PARADE – Enjoy the  Patriotic Golf Cart Parade by watching or participating in this fun event at 11:30AM down 2nd Avenue to Marina Drive and Riverfront Park and back.

KIDS ZONE – Children can participate in the annual favorite Jello Jump, enjoy bouncy castles and water activities set up in the Conway Tennis Center Parking Lot. Activities will be held from 11AM- 8PM.

SANTEE COOPER BUSINESS EXPO – Visitors and locals are guaranteed to love the displays and information provided at the Business Expo. The Expo will highlight area businesses at the Marina Parking Lot from 11am-10pm.

FOOD & BEER GARDEN – While attending the festival choose from a variety of food vendors like tasty corn dogs to fabulous funnel cakes to delicious deep fried avocado bites to refreshing shaved ice treats. Better Brands Beer products are available at Riverfront Park Area only from 3PM-9:30 PM. To purchase beer or wine you must go to the Identification Booth, show your driver’s license for proof of age and you will receive a wristband. All beer and wine must be consumed in the Riverfront Park designated area.

COASTAL CAROLINA NATIONAL BANK ARTISAN MARKET – The Artisan Market will be filled with arts & crafts vendors from all over showcasing their wares for sale. Shop and browse at the Marina Parking lot from 11AM- 10PM.

THE CONWAY NATIONAL BANK FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA – In celebration of our Country’s independence, the Fireworks Extravaganza is a must see for young and old. Watch the sky light up with an explosion of colors beginning at 9:30 PM on Saturday, June 27th.

ADMISSION FEE – No admission fee is required for the Elm Street area activities (11AM-10PM). The Riverfront Park Area admission (3PM-10PM) is $5 per person and children 12 and under are free. Hands will be stamped for park re-entry once fee is paid

HEALTHCARE PARTNERS FIRST AID BOOTH – A first aid booth is available to assist with any festival mishaps that may arise.

ENTRY & SECURITY No coolers or PETS (except service animals) are allowed at Riverfront Park during Riverfest.

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to watch the bands or fireworks.

THESE ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED – Smoking, public golf carts, bicycles, coolers and skateboards are not permitted in the festival area.

PARKING- There will be parking available at the Horry County Courthouse, the old Santee Cooper lot and street parking.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series let you enjoy an evening with your family and friends listening to live music at the amphitheater at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Each concert will feature a different band playing family-friendly music. Bring a beach chair or blanket. For your convenience, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Tobacco products, coolers, outside food, and beverages are not allowed. Irish Italian International Festival

The City of North Myrtle Beach will host the 17th Annual Irish Italian International Festival on Saturday, September 25, 2021. This one day rain or shine event brings approximately 15,000 to celebrate different cultures. This festival will feature: Art and craft vendors Dance groups all surrounding an Irish Italian International theme Food from local restaurants Street performers Two stages of live entertainment Main Street, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 Saturday, September 25, 2021 (subject to change) 10 AM – 4 PM Free Admission

Nacho Hippo

Nacho Hippo offers fresh food, cold drinks, live music, and overwhelming beach vibes. The party is always on at these open-air cantinas. They are one of the favorites of both locals and vacationers of North Myrtle Beach. They are loaded down with the most delicious Tex-Mex specialties in Myrtle Beach, the biggest and best drink selection, live entertainment, and that vacation atmosphere that anyone can love. They are also considered as the Grand Strand’s watering hole because they have got the biggest and best in margaritas on the Grand Strand. The Wicked Tuna

Wicked Tuna is located at the southern end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk on the 2nd Avenue Pier. Its perfect location offers great views of the ocean. Everything Wicked Tuna serves is based on the idea of “hook to plate,” bringing fresh, everyday seafood catches to Myrtle Beach diners. Many different culinary avenues can be taken here, from classic dishes with a contemporary twist to entrees and salads completely unique to Wicked Tuna. The menu is more or less divided into two sections, a Grill menu and a Sushi menu, with various subsections on each. Wicked Tuna offers a different style of fare than many of its neighbors. The interior there is a contemporary twist on the standard fishing town decor that is common throughout Murrells Inlet. Duck’s Beach Club

Ducks Beach Club is a Carolina beach music and shag club. It has a long tradition as being one of the premiers clubs offering live entertainment and drink specials. There is a grill at Ducks offering plenty of food to eat.

OD Arcade & Lounge

OD Arcade & Lounge has been a popular hangout for visitors who love to dance, listen to live music, try their pipes at karaoke, or play all manner of games while having a good time or a bite to eat. When it comes to grabbing a bite to eat, seafood is the main attraction here, with great deals on peel and eat shrimp and crab leg clusters for happy hour, not to mention daily specials on things like wings, tacos and ribeye. There is also an extensive list of “Munchies” for those looking for late night eats or just a quick snack and a cold drink. Among the more interesting choices include Chicken-Fried Bacon, Shrimp Jammers, breaded shrimp served stuffed with cheese and the tasty Fish Fingers. Have a drink or dine inside or enjoy their outside café. In addition to the bar area and outdoor patio, a great spot for people watching, there is also a large arcade area with several pool tables, darts, and games to enjoy. Come in and enjoy the live bands, karaoke, shag dance events, the latest in state-of-the-art games, billiards, their awesome dance floor, DJ lineup and more.  

Grumpy Monk

The Grumpy Monk is a local establishment that is famous for their Craft Beer. They even won the Best Craft Beer award on a certain competition. This restaurant offers variety selection of food, such as burgers, sandwiches, flavored chicken wings (cooked in their own style), beef, shrimps, turkey, pork and many more. They have their separate menu for Sushi, one of their best-sellers and a special menu for vegans and vegetarians. They also offer an option for you to create your own salad depending on your preference of ingredients, oil, and dressing. Your kids will also enjoy your dining experience because The Grumpy Monk has a Kids Menu on their menu. They also offer a separate Menu for the Happy Hour which you will surely enjoy. Happy hour runs daily from 4–7 p.m. with discounts on food and drink. Their bar is separated from the large dining room by a water feature and the beer tap waterfall at the entrance makes for a spectacular welcome. An outside deck stays packed when the weather cooperates. They are open daily at 11 a.m. and serves food until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on the weekends.

Captain Archies

Captain Archie’s popular menu choices include fried oyster salad, steamed clams, jumbo wings, PEI mussels, BLTs, corned beef reubens, club sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, seared ahi tuna, low country boil, snow crab legs, and for dessert, funnel cake and brownie bites. Locals and tourists enjoy fantastic waterway dining experience at Captain Archie’s. This location is a hidden gem in North Myrtle Beach. They are open for lunch, happy hour and dinner. They are always serving up and appetizing menu of American cuisine and seafood. Sit outside at their tiki bar or at one of their waterside tables. The staff is very friendly and will make you feel welcome always.

Pirate’s Cove Lounge

Pirate’s Cove is known as one of the area’s top live music venues, with two stages and two floors full of dancing, bands, drinks, and fun. Conway Riverfest

CONWAY RIVERFEST 2021 SATURDAY, JUNE 26th 11AM-10PM AN EVENT OF THE CONWAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OPENING CEREMONIES – Beginning at 11AM a special opening ceremony will take place on the Palmetto Chevrolet Marina Family Stage. Join in the singing of the National Anthem, color guard presentation of the flag as we pay homage to our great nation and all those who serve her. GOLF CART PARADE – Enjoy the  Patriotic Golf Cart Parade by watching or participating in this fun event at 11:30AM down 2nd Avenue to Marina Drive and Riverfront Park and back. KIDS ZONE – Children can participate in the annual favorite Jello Jump, enjoy bouncy castles and water activities set up in the Conway Tennis Center Parking Lot. Activities will be held from 11AM- 8PM. SANTEE COOPER BUSINESS EXPO – Visitors and locals are guaranteed to love the displays and information provided at the Business Expo. The Expo will highlight area businesses at the Marina Parking Lot from 11am-10pm. FOOD & BEER GARDEN – While attending the festival choose from a variety of food vendors like tasty corn dogs to fabulous funnel cakes to delicious deep fried avocado bites to refreshing shaved ice treats. Better Brands Beer products are available at Riverfront Park Area only from 3PM-9:30 PM. To purchase beer or wine you must go to the Identification Booth, show your driver’s license for proof of age and you will receive a wristband. All beer and wine must be consumed in the Riverfront Park designated area. COASTAL CAROLINA NATIONAL BANK ARTISAN MARKET – The Artisan Market will be filled with arts & crafts vendors from all over showcasing their wares for sale. Shop and browse at the Marina Parking lot from 11AM- 10PM. THE CONWAY NATIONAL BANK FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA – In celebration of our Country’s independence, the Fireworks Extravaganza is a must see for young and old. Watch the sky light up with an explosion of colors beginning at 9:30 PM on Saturday, June 27th. ADMISSION FEE – No admission fee is required for the Elm Street area activities (11AM-10PM). The Riverfront Park Area admission (3PM-10PM) is $5 per person and children 12 and under are free. Hands will be stamped for park re-entry once fee is paid HEALTHCARE PARTNERS FIRST AID BOOTH – A first aid booth is available to assist with any festival mishaps that may arise. ENTRY & SECURITY No coolers or PETS (except service animals) are allowed at Riverfront Park during Riverfest. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to watch the bands or fireworks. THESE ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED – Smoking, public golf carts, bicycles, coolers and skateboards are not permitted in the festival area. PARKING- There will be parking available at the Horry County Courthouse, the old Santee Cooper lot and street parking.

Duck Dive Bar & Grill

One of our favorites in Cherry Grove, Duck Dive Bar & Grill offers sandwiches, burgers, salads and more. We think they have some of the best chicken wings in the area. They usually have happy hour specials and specials of the day. You can find their menu on their website and facebook page Many nights they offer Live Music or Karaoke. Look for their entertainment schedule when everything opens back up. They have been doing a lot of take-out and special delivery during the shutdown of April 2020. Give them a call

Local on the Water keep it fresh and local, living up to their name by trying  to use as often as possible local sources for their ingredients and drinks. The Spanish Galleon nightclub is one of Myrtle Beach’s best-known high-energy clubs. It is one of the North Strand’s most popular nightspots. Whether it is the best live bands, a great place to dance or just a hangout to enjoy your vacation, Spanish Galleon Nightclub has you covered.
