There are several options to eat in Cherry Grove at the end of Sea Mountain Highway.  When you get to the light, look to the right and you will Murphy’s. When it first opened, the locals and staff were calling it MOTO’s, which was short for Murphy’s on the Ocean. The former place of business for many years was called HOTO’s. HOTO’s is now located in Ocean Drive.

Murphy’s is now going by the name “Murphy’s Bar & Grill”. You may see it listed on social media as  “Murphy’s on the Beach”.

They feature live music most days. Check them out for Happy Hour and Food Specials. If you ride by, they have a big blackboard on the side of the building with daily specials. The location is great with a great view of the ocean in Cherry Grove. During parts of the year, you may find it is a big draw to bikers. Murphy’s does have its fair share of parking compared to other places in the area. There are shared lots and paid lots close by.

It is one of the places that is open year round, so give it a try the next time you are in North Myrtle Beach.

Located right off Main street in North Myrtle Beach, Buoys on The Boulevard has been there since the 50s and has a ton of history. They guarantee a fun environment with great music, fantastic food and outstanding service. Buoys on The Boulevard’s menu features a variety of items: appetizers, salads, nachos, tacos, burgers, seafood platters, low country boils, crab legs, oysters and more. A little something for everybody. They even have a licensed sushi chef at the sushi bar and their full bar serves beer, wine, cocktails and fun frozen adult beverages as well as a virgin line for the nondrinkers. They use the freshest ingredients such as Certified Angus Beef Brand burgers and steak meats. Their southern hospitality and iconic cuisine are a must do for your next visit along the Grand Strand. Their Happy Hour is 4PM to 7 PM daily.

OD Arcade & Lounge

OD Arcade & Lounge has been a popular hangout for visitors who love to dance, listen to live music, try their pipes at karaoke, or play all manner of games while having a good time or a bite to eat. When it comes to grabbing a bite to eat, seafood is the main attraction here, with great deals on peel and eat shrimp and crab leg clusters for happy hour, not to mention daily specials on things like wings, tacos and ribeye. They are dedicated to providing you with some of the best Southern style cooking and Calabash style seafood in town. They specialize in South Carolina favorites and serves daily meat-and-three specials. The food is like something you can only get at your grandmother’s house, a true Southern cooking, especially for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, country ham and grits are among the many house specialties available every day. They are open 7 days and 6 nights a week featuring dine-in and curbside service.

Blueberry’s Grill

Blueberry’s Grill is the ultimate culinary experience. They are tantalizing customers taste buds with unique twists on their favorite classic foods, prepared with only the finest, fresh ingredients, since 2017. One of its foundation, Chef Evi holds the secret of their foods delicious ingredients and the flawless preparation of their food. During breakfast they are serving up unique Blueberry’s favorites such as the Wild Smoked Salmon Croissant; the Chicken & Waffles with Sugar Pears; the French Omelette with roasted red peppers, pesto, mushrooms, caramelized onions, capers and Bordeaux brie cheese; and the Country Benedict with fried green tomatoes, poached eggs, applewood smoked bacon and hollandaise sauce. More-traditional offerings such as pancakes, waffles, French toast, and an array of breakfast sandwiches and skillets are also available. Their lunch menu features a collection of sandwiches and burgers such as the Smoked Turkey & Pesto, the Curried Chicken Salad Melt and the Chipotle Avocado Burger. They also have drinks like Mojitos and Bloody Mary’s. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Patios Tiki Bar & Grill

Patios Tiki Bar and Grill is a fun and exciting little world where beer and rum cocktails flow like the current through the adjacent Intracoastal Waterway. They provide a great and friendly party, dining and entertainment hub along the intercoastal waterway where friends and family of all ages can come to have a great time. It is one of the locals and tourists favorite place to enjoy a quick bite, cold drink and a gorgeous view of the intracoastal waterway while listening to some local talent. They offer a variety of good food such as burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, paninis, quesadilla, steaks, shrimps, chicken wings, and many more. They also have a full sushi menu. It’s hard to imagine there is room on the Little River waterfront to squeeze in one more restaurant, but the new Patio’s Tiki Bar & Grill has elbow room to spare.    

Grumpy Monk

The Grumpy Monk is a local establishment that is famous for their Craft Beer. They even won the Best Craft Beer award on a certain competition. This restaurant offers variety selection of food, such as burgers, sandwiches, flavored chicken wings (cooked in their own style), beef, shrimps, turkey, pork and many more. They have their separate menu for Sushi, one of their best-sellers and a special menu for vegans and vegetarians. They also offer an option for you to create your own salad depending on your preference of ingredients, oil, and dressing. Your kids will also enjoy your dining experience because The Grumpy Monk has a Kids Menu on their menu. They also offer a separate Menu for the Happy Hour which you will surely enjoy. Happy hour runs daily from 4–7 p.m. with discounts on food and drink. Their bar is separated from the large dining room by a water feature and the beer tap waterfall at the entrance makes for a spectacular welcome. An outside deck stays packed when the weather cooperates. They are open daily at 11 a.m. and serves food until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on the weekends.

Bully’s Pub & Grill

Bully is a place where you can enjoy your food, sip in on a delicious drink, and be entertained. You can enjoy lunch, dinner, or a relaxing drink on their lakeside deck. Try eating out on their deck and you might see an alligator or turtles swimming by. The food is good, and the staff are very friendly. They serve chicken wings, quesadilla, nachos, burgers, sandwiches and many more. They have a lot of TVs on each corner for game watching. Their beer selection is outstanding and earned a lot of good feedback from their customers. Bully’s also has pool tables, darts, Golden T and bowling machines for you. They have Happy Hour where drinks and food can be availed at a discounted price.

Chris’s Pizza and Pub

Chris’ Pizza & Pub is a place to not only eat good food but also a place for the community to come together, to swap stories, enjoy each other’s company, a place where everyone can feel welcome. Their philosophy is simple, “source the best ingredients, make the best food, and sell it at a fair price”. Aside from their famous and best-selling pizza, there are other delicious food on their menu. They have burgers, wraps, salads, sandwiches, corn dogs, lasagna, spaghetti, soups, and yummy boneless chicken wings. They also have their own Kids Menu for your little ones. They offer Happy Hour Food Specials available Monday-Friday 4-7pm. Chris’ Pizza & Pub is a perfect place to gather with friends and family whether it is to celebrate a special occasion or catch a sporting event on our multiple TVS. They have TVs, sports memorabilia, FREE High Speed Internet, and a friendly, welcoming staff. Join them for a family pizza night, the big game, a business lunch, or come in and hang out and make some new friends.  

Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings is a product of National chain that started years ago with two guys that were driven by their hunger for wings. Taking their love for wings, beer and sports and decided to offer this to people to enjoy. Who doesn’t love chicken wings? Whether you are watching your favorite sports team with a cold beer or just enjoying a summer afternoon, chicken wings are a loved tradition by many. Buffalo Wild Wings’ menu items cover wings and several different flavors to tempt any taste, but you can also enjoy many other items. They have wraps and sandwiches, different kinds of salad, burgers (their best-seller is the Buffalo Blue Burger), nachos and onion rings, and desserts like cheesecake bites and chocolate fudge cake.

Coconuts Tiki Bar

Coconuts Tiki Bar is the “Home of the Naked Turtle” in North Myrtle Beach. Their famous and best-selling drink is a mix of Naked Turtle Rum and strawberry, mango, or peach mixes. They offer nicely cooked tuna, pasta salads and steak sandwiches. One of their popular food is the 3 flour tortillas stuffed with our grilled or blackened chicken, fish or shrimp finished with a Thai peanut coleslaw called, Tiki Tacos. Coconuts Tiki Bar’s great location makes it easy to reach by any transport. Their staffs are efficient at Coconuts Tiki Bar. Commendable service is something clients appreciate here. Their food comes in average prices. Most customers are faithful to this place because of the lovely atmosphere.

Midtown Bistro

Midtown Bistro probably has something for every taste and budget. They surely know what it takes to create great lunch and dining experiences. Located in 2004 Hwy 17 South #3 North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Midtown Bistro brings a one-of-a-kind uniqueness to North Myrtle Beach. Little River is the home of the annual Blue Crab Festival, and Crab Catchers is the unofficial headquarters for the waterfront festivities. Crab Catcher’s offers delicious seafood prepared fresh and made to order every time. The restaurant specializes in seafood and sandwiches but they also offer steak entrees. Crab Catchers has fresh seafood to match, especially highlighting the local blue crabs, She Crab Soup, Crab Cakes, Deviled and seafood baskets of Calabash-style fresh catch fish and shrimp. Each entrée on their menu is made to order so you can come and prepare to relax and enjoy a great meal at a reasonable price. You can enjoy a very relaxed and casual atmosphere with indoor dining or waterfront dining where you will be greeted by their friendly staff. Rockefellers Raw Bar

Rockefellers Raw Bar has been a staple in the North Myrtle Beach community for nearly 25 years. This roadside bar impresses eaters from all ages, especially those who are seafood lovers. They are perfect for those who prefer their seafood in a more natural state. You can order from the raw bar or the steam kettles, featuring fresh shrimp, scallops or mussels in old bay and beer, garlic and wine or spicy marinara sauce. You can also tart with their signature Oysters Rockefeller or the peel-n-eat Priddy Spicy Shrimp, boiled in their signature seasoning. What makes them unique is that they use boat captain’s chairs as their bar stools. Interesting, right? What’s more interesting is that they offer “Happy Hour” every day at 4pm until 6pm. You can avail food like shrimps, crabs, and oyster at a discounted price. Drinks like domestic bottle beer, house liquors, house wines, and Ruffino Pinot Grigio are also offered at a discounted price at these hours. Friendly’s is a place to go to feed the whole family on a budget. This is a great place to take the family, especially if you have some younger ones in the group. For breakfast, Friendly’s serves twists on all of the standards like Bananas Foster Pancakes, Red Velvet Waffles, Brioche French Toast, and the Lumberjack Breakfast, which consists of three eggs, bacon or sausage, and pancakes or French toast. Other breakfast items include Omelettes, Scramblers, SuperMelt Sandwiches, and Healthier Options like oatmeal, yogurt, and fresh fruit. The Entrée menu includes popular items like Fish & Chips, Chicken Parmesan, and Fish Tacos, along with other options like Turkey Tips with fresh broccoli and rice pilaf, and the Signature Clam Boat, which consists of clam strips with tartar sauce and lemon served over fries and cole slaw. Captain Archie’s popular menu choices include fried oyster salad, steamed clams, jumbo wings, PEI mussels, BLTs, corned beef reubens, club sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, seared ahi tuna, low country boil, snow crab legs, and for dessert, funnel cake and brownie bites. Locals and tourists enjoy fantastic waterway dining experience at Captain Archie’s. This location is a hidden gem in North Myrtle Beach. They are open for lunch, happy hour and dinner. They are always serving up and appetizing menu of American cuisine and seafood. Sit outside at their tiki bar or at one of their waterside tables. The staff is very friendly and will make you feel welcome always.

Duck Dive Bar & Grill

One of our favorites in Cherry Grove, Duck Dive Bar & Grill offers sandwiches, burgers, salads and more. We think they have some of the best chicken wings in the area. They usually have happy hour specials and specials of the day. You can find their menu on their website and facebook page Many nights they offer Live Music or Karaoke. Look for their entertainment schedule when everything opens back up. They have been doing a lot of take-out and special delivery during the shutdown of April 2020. Give them a call

Logan’s Roadhouse

MOTO’s Bar – Murphy’s Bar & Grill

There are several options to eat in Cherry Grove at the end of Sea Mountain Highway.  When you get to the light, look to the right and you will Murphy’s. When it first opened, the locals and staff were calling it MOTO’s, which was short for Murphy’s on the Ocean. The former place of business for many years was called HOTO’s. HOTO’s is now located in Ocean Drive. Murphy’s is now going by the name “Murphy’s Bar & Grill”. You may see it listed on social media as  “Murphy’s on the Beach”. They feature live music most days. Check them out for Happy Hour and Food Specials. If you ride by, they have a big blackboard on the side of the building with daily specials. The location is great with a great view of the ocean in Cherry Grove. During parts of the year, you may find it is a big draw to bikers. Murphy’s does have its fair share of parking compared to other places in the area. There are shared lots and paid lots close by. It is one of the places that is open year round, so give it a try the next time you are in North Myrtle Beach.
